第二章：「要爱人如己」
Chapter Two: "You Shall Love Your Neighbor as Yourself"
耶稣对门徒说：「我赐给你们一条新命令，乃是叫你们彼此相爱；我怎样爱你们，你们也要怎样相爱。」约13:34。
Jesus said to his disciples: “Love one another even as I have loved you.”Jn 13:34.
2196耶稣在回答有关诫命中第一条的问题时说：「第一要紧的就是说：以色列啊，你要听，主我们神是独一的主。你要尽心、尽性、尽意、尽力爱主你的神。其次就是说：要爱人如己。再没有比这两条诫命更大的了。」可12:29-31；参申6:4-5；利19:18；太22:34-40；路10:25-28。使徒保罗也提醒我们：「凡事都不可亏欠人，惟有彼此相爱，要常以为亏欠，因为爱人的就完全了律法。像那不可奸淫、不可杀人、不可偷盗、不可贪婪，或有别的诫命，都包在『爱人如己』这一句话之内了。爱是不加害与人的，所以爱就完全了律法。」罗13:8-10。
2196In response to the question about the first of the commandments, Jesus says: “The first is, ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one; and you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ The second is this, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”Mk 12:29-31; cf. Deut 6:4-5; Lev 19:18; Mt 22:34-40; Lk 10:25-28. The apostle St. Paul reminds us of this: “He who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law. The commandments, ‘You shall not commit adultery, You shall not kill, You shall not steal, You shall not covet,’ and any other commandment, are summed up in this sentence, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.”Rom 13:8-10.
