The authors of Evangelical Exodus hope our stories have been edifying to you, whether you are Catholic, Evangelical, or otherwise. Should the book prove popular, a sequel or two might be in order! At the time of this writing there are already enough converts from Evangelicalism to Catholicism from Southern Evangelical Seminary to publish at least two similar books of the same size! Although the authors of this book are all trained in apologetics, our goal was not to provide a full defense of Catholicism (the appendices are included primarily to avoid repetition). Rather, the book’s purpose was to give each of us a chance to answer personally and accurately the question we are frequently asked by our Evangelical brothers and sisters: Why did you become Catholic? (see 1 Pet 3:15).

The next question we often get is: What should I read to learn more? Listed below are several books that have been helpful to us in that regard. The questions that those who are discerning whether to enter the Catholic Church ask during their journeys are usually not the same as those simply looking for a new church to attend. Thus, this list includes conversion testimonies, theological issues, and comparative resources from non-Catholics.
